Web search APIs for AI agents

Web search APIs let an agent ask the live web, or another named search endpoint, and get titles, links or structured results back in one paid call. A listing in Data, Tools or Intelligence is included when its name contains the word search, or when its text names web search, a SERP, a search engine or a search API. That is a deliberate rule, so a postcode lookup that merely says it can search a table stays off the page, while an endpoint that puts search in its name stays on it. Discovery is free. The call itself is paid to the provider over x402, in USDC on Base, Solana or Algorand, with no API key. Settlement-verified means a paid route with an on-chain receipt. Examples are claimed, verified listings. Unclaimed (bazaar) imports are labelled and are not the examples. Listing is free and the provider keeps 100% of each settled call. Counts are the live size of this rule, not a saved snapshot and not a guess about how often anyone searches.

42 APIs and 118 endpoints match this page. 42 are settlement-verified: a paid route with an on-chain receipt.

Questions

How does a listing get onto the web search page?

It is in Data, Tools or Intelligence, and either its name contains the word search or its name, description or tags contain a phrase such as web search, SERP, search engine or search API. Tags named search, serp or web-search also match.

Can an agent pay for search without an account?

Yes. It pays the provider per call over x402 in USDC on Base, Solana or Algorand. No API key and no buyer account are required. The MCP catalogue at payapi.market/mcp does not charge for search_apis, list_apis or get_api.

Are the example search APIs settlement-verified?

The examples are. Settlement-verified means a paid route with an on-chain receipt. The link on each example is that receipt. Unclaimed (bazaar) imports are listed separately and are not examples.
